The White Label is reserved for ultra-limited wines that exhibit a leaner expression of Bassi Vineyard. We select clones, blocks, yeasts and barrels that cultivate structure, yielding wines with lower alcohol and higher acidity. These wines are all about litheness and clean site expression.
The Chardonnay White Label favors discretion over ripeness, as it composed of early picks in the range of 22 Brix from all three Chardonnay clones planted at Bassi Vineyard. The picks are barrel fermented with both commercial and native yeasts in order to build dimension into the eventual blend. The final blend is made from a selection of standout barrels with the aim of producing a Chardonnay that is lean by nature, but also complete in mouthfeel and flavor.
